COURSE DESCRIPTION

:

This course is an area of ESP (English for Specific Purposes), which discusses the principle and practices of the kind of writing related to engineering, business, and other skill-oriented disciplines in consonance to a target clientele’s academic and occupational pursuits.

 

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

 

:

 

At the end of the course, the students would be able to:

a.       Write well-organized discipline-specific reports, and integrate into the ESP approach reasons, communicative events.

b.      Appreciate reading and listening oral reports and take the pleasure in participating class discussions and interactions; and

c.       Produce graphics/materials that are discipline-based and organize reports with the use of outlines.
